Doomsday possesses extreme physical strength, invulnerability and speed that sometimes rivals that of even Superman.
His skeleton protrudes through his skin in razor-sharp spurs which provide protection to his few vital organs and act as clawlike weapons on his hands, elbows and knees.
Doomsday has a highly accelerated healing factor that allows him to quickly regenerate from most damage. He can also develop resistance from ordinary injuries and evolve from death.

History: The monster known as Doomsday was created hundreds of thousands of years ago as part of an alien genetics experiment. The experiment worked all too well, producing a living engine of destruction, a virtually immortal creature who seems to take an obscene delight in violence and death.

Doomsday very nearly destroyed the Justice League of America. His cross-country rampage was finally stopped by Superman only after an epic battle which ended in the apparent death of the Man of Steel himself.

After his recovery, Superman discovered that Doomsday still lived as well. The Man of Steel pursued the monster across the cosmos, finally ending Doomsday's threat by stranding him at the end of time.
